Los Blancos earned a hard-fought victory away at Granada on Monday courtesy of goals from left-back Ferland Mendy and French striker Karim Benzema.
The win saw Zidane's side maintain their four-point lead over second-placed FC Barcelona, and with just two matches remaining in LaLiga, the leaders will need just one more win to wrap up the league title.
Following their victory on Monday, Zidane could be heard letting out a loud scream, which he has now explained came from a place of sheer relief given how tough the challenge was.
"I shouted because I was happy and because you suffer in football," he said, according to Marca.
"It was normal to shout because they were three very important points.
"I shouted to tell my players that they had an impressive game. I'm happy for them."
