Despite Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being heavy linked with Real Madrid, manager Zinedine Zidane will reportedly snub the Arsenal captain for another African superstar.
The 30-year-old Gabon international has been discussed as a potential target for Los Blancos, following Luka Jovic's disappointing first season in Spain.
Reports suggest that Zidane could look to sell the 22-year-old Serbian forward in the coming window, and provide Karim Benzema with sufficient competition by adding another striker to the roster ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
Aubameyang has been tipped as a potential replacement for the former Eintracht Frankfurt player, although The Express have reported he is not at the top of Zidane's shortlist.
It is claimed the 47-year-old Frenchman would instead prefer to sign Liverpool's Sadio Mane, who has also previously been linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Zidane would reportedly also target Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland ahead of Aubameyang, making the ex-BVB striker only his third choice.
Mane, however, would likely cost the Spanish giants upwards of €150 million (R2.9 billion), while the Gunners skipper, whose current contract expires at the end of next season, could be allowed to leave for about €50 million (R996 million).
