Following reports that his relationship with Gareth Bale is in tatters, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has discussed how things are between himself and the Welshman.
The former Tottenham Hotspur winger has been strongly linked with an exit from Los Blancos, with speculation suggesting he does not have much of a future under Zidane.
It has been reported that the pair have never enjoyed the healthiest working relationship, which was seemingly evidenced when Bale said the Frenchman had not said a word to him about his two goals in Real's 3-1 win over Liverpool in the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League final.
Zidane, however, has often insisted the relationship between himself and the 30-year-old is healthy, and has once again responded to rumours suggesting otherwise by shutting them down.
"We know the player he is and what he has done (for Real Madrid).
"The truth is there is no before and after Kiev (when Bale scored twice in the Champions League final against Liverpool in 2018).
"I respect very much what Bale has done and I can't control what you (journalists) write, but the relationship is normal."
Bale has played just 19 times for Real so far this season, and has often been subjected to boos by sections of the Spanish giants' supporters.
