With recent rumours linking Real Madrid with Kylian Mbappe, the Spanish club has reportedly decided to cool their interest in the Frenchman. Here's why.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Los Blancos were interested in signing both Mbappe and Jude Bellingham in the upcoming transfer window, and while it looks as though the Englishman will be a Madridista next season, the same is reportedly not true for his French counterpart.
According to Marca, signing the Bondy native is no longer the LaLiga giants' top priority.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner was heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of last season, but opted to re-sign with PSG.
Real's chiefs are also said to not be fans of Les Parisiens chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, but not because of any animosity they might have over how the Mbappe negotiations transpired last year.
The reason the Spanish outfit will not sign the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner is said to be the emergence of Vinicius Junior.
The Brazilian has been in sensational form since the beginning of last season and having won the UEFA Champions League in 2021/22, the 22-year-old will be looking to repeat the feat in this campaign.
The ex-Flamengo prodigy has scored 23 goals and provided 21 assists this season, and will be determined to get his hands on another piece of silverware.
It is claimed that Real believe Vinicius is currently at the same level as, or perhaps even better than, Mbappe and are thus no longer in any rush to sign the 24-year-old France captain.

However, with the PSG superstar's contract reportedly set to expire at the end of next season, Los Merengues could look to sign Mbappe as a free agent then.
