The Reds' Egyptian talisman was the subject of intense transfer rumours this past transfer window as it seemed that the 32-year-old would be making a dramatic exit from Anfield.
Al Ittihad, Saudi Pro League champions, made an strong push to sign the attacker for a world-record fee, but ultimately the Merseyside outfit opted against selling the ex-Chelsea man.
The expectation is that the Tigers will reignite their interest in Salah come the next transfer window comes and, while a move in the middle of the season appears unlikely, the six-time European champions have reportedly planned for his departure regardless.
According to Fichajes, Jurgen Klopp and the 19-time English champions have categorised Los Blancos star Rodrygo Goes as one of the attackers who could potentially replace for their three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the record European winners would be willing to accept offers in the region of €100 million (R2 billion) for the Brazil international.
Real appreciate his talent, but are believed to hold the likes of Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham in higher regard, consequently relegating the 22-year-old to a position whereby the club are willing to listen to offers for him.
