Messi has claimed 34 pieces of silverware at Barcelona, although he has failed to add another title in 2019/20 so far.
His counterpart at Real Madrid is Paco Gento, who was a member of the club's legendary side in the 1950s and 60s.
The winger won 23 titles between 1953 and 1971 – more than any other player in the club's illustrious history.
Sergio Ramos and Marcelo are hot on his heels, however, with the duo recently lifting their 22nd trophy at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Both claimed their first title in the 2006/07 campaign when they lifted the LaLiga trophy, and have added 21 more pieces of silverware since, so their full cabinet consists of: five LaLigas, four UEFA Champions Leagues, four FIFA Club World Cups, four Supercopa de Espanas, three UEFA Super Cups and two Copa del Reys.
Marcelo and Ramos could equal Gento's tally this season already, but would need to win the Champions League. In order to do so, they would have to overturn a 2-1 first-leg defeat to Manchester City in the round of 16 before going through two knockout games and then the final.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, won 16 trophies during his time at Los Blancos, which sees him miss out on a spot among the club's nine most successful players ever.
