Egypt's former assistant coach has explained why superstar Mohamed Salah rejected a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid two years ago.
After a supeb debut 2017/2018 season with Reds where he bagged an impressive 44 goals and 16 assists across all competitions, the Egyptian was heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Cristiano Ronaldo had left Los Blancos after beating Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final and Salah could have been a direct replacement.
"I was talking to Salah and he told me that Real Madrid had sent him an offer.
"The offer was really good, but Salah discussed it with me and Mr Cuper, and he decided to stay with Liverpool because he was comfortable there."
