With Real Madrid being heavily linked with Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, the Spanish club's plan to sign both young superstars has now seemingly been revealed.
Los Blancos are said to be interested in both the Paris Saint-Germain striker and the Borussia Dortmund forward, and have reportedly come up with a special plan to eventually secure both signatures.
Manager Zinedine Zidane has been tasked with the job of finding someone to fill the void that Cristiano Ronaldo left with his exit from the Madrid club in 2018, especially with Real far behind FC Barcelona in the goal charts in LaLiga so far this season – while the Catalan giants have scored 63 times in the league, Real have scored just 49 goals since the start of the domestic campaign.
Having been linked with both Mbappe and Haaland, the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners remain determined to sign both the Frenchman and the Norwegian, but know that it would be an unrealistic notion to land their signatures in the same transfer window.
According to Marca, Real have thus set their sights on luring Haaland to Spain at the end of the current campaign by activating his reported release clause of €75 million (R1.4 billion), and will move for Mbappe in 2021.
If next year comes around and Mbappe has still not signed a new deal at PSG, the 21-year-old will have just one year remaining on his contract in France, and the Spanish giants reportedly see this as the best time to swoop for him.
