Real Madrid Transfer News: Seven Out, Four In?

With Real Madrid out of the UEFA Champions League earlier than Zinedine Zidane would have liked, here are the transfers changes that could take place in the transfer window to ensure it does not happen next season.

It was a successful domestic campaign in Zidane's first full season back at the helm, but it was also the first time the French manager did not win the Champions League as a professional manager.

The 1998 FIFA World Cup winner made history when he lifted the trophy in three consecutive seasons, before he surprisingly walked away from the job in 2018. Jules Lopetegui replaced him as boss, but was eventually replaced by Santiago Solari.

The Argentinian lasted just 28 games in charge before being given the sack by president Florentino Perez, only for Zidane to return to the hot seat less than a year after stepping down.

While he claimed the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League trophy, the Frenchman might feel he needs to do a bit of work to give his side the best chance of retaining the title, and it could start with a few players being sold.

Welshman Gareth Bale is believed to be right at the top of the club's transfer list, as well asColombian international James Rodriguez and Serbia striker Luka Jovic. These players would likely free up plenty cash in wages, which could be useful to the Spanish giants in these difficult economic times.
