Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners are eyeing a potential deal for Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz.
This comes in the wake of Benzema's decision to part ways with the Spanish giants, a call that seems to have taken head coach Carlo Ancelotti by surprise.
The 35-year-old is said to have only informed the club of his desire to leave on Sunday morning, on the same day Los Blancos wrapped their 2022/23 season up with a 2-2 draw at home with Athletic Bilbao.
Ancelotti is now reportedly hoping Real can successfully move for Germany international Havertz, whom the Blues are believed to be open to selling should an appropriate offer for his signature arrive.
The 23-year-old joined the Stamford Bridge-based side in 2020 from Bayer Leverkusen, but has battled to live up to expectations in England since.

Havertz has scored just 32 goals in 139 appearances in what has been a mixed spell for Chelsea, with one of those strikes handing the club a famous Champions League final victory over Manchester City in 2021.
