According to Fichajes, Los Blancos are monitoring Victor Osimhen's situation and are keen on making the Nigeria international one of their big-money arrivals in the next window.
The 24-year-old has had a historic season in Napoli colours in 2022/23, having scored 28 goals in 36 matches for Gli Azzurri in all competitions, and the 14-time European champions reportedly see him as the man to eventually take Benzema's place in the team.
The Frenchman has struggled for fitness this season after winning the Ballon d'Or last year, and this has had an impact on his form, perhaps evident in Real's UEFA Champions League elimination by Manchester City on Wednesday night.

The 35-year-old was unable to illustrate the same heroics that got Los Blancos past the English giants last season, and it seems the Spanish outfit now wants to make contingencies in the event their talisman spends a prolonged amount of time on the sidelines by acquiring the Lagos native's services.
The same report suggests that Osimhen is already being courted by Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea, and he himself has claimed it is his dream to play in England, but an offer from Real could turn the west African's head.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is known to be a notoriously hard negotiator and will likely not let his forward go for cheap, but with Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland likely to be out of the picture for the upcoming transfer window, Real could be running out of world-class options to eventually replace Benzema.
