According to Diario AS, the two superstar talents are targets for Los Blancos, who have a potential budget reaching all the way up to €393 million (R8 billion).
This sum is made up of €128 million (R2.6 billion) in cash that currently available to the club, while the remaining €265 million (R5.4 billion) is made up of credit policies for which financing has already been sourced and can be approved.
The record European champions are believed to have also cleared significant salary space as well in order to accommodate a superstar coming in for five to six years, with their wage bill having decreased drastically in recent times.
The same report claims that Real have gone from a €404.9 million (R8.3 billion) annual wage bill for all first-team players and staff in 2022 to having it decreased to €326.5 million (R6.7 billion).
This is in large part due to the departures of Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard, who were among the highest earners at the club.
However, whether or not they will be able to replace them with both Haaland and Mbappe remains to be seen.
The club's insistence on the Santiago Bernabeu's renovation is said to be part of their intention to position themselves ahead of Emirati- and Qatari-owned City and PSG, as well as being its own income driver.

Haaland and Mbappe currently play for sovereign-funded clubs, but Real will likely be hoping their prestige prevails above the money those teams can offer them.
There are doubts over the futures of both as the Frenchman is in the final months of his current deal at PSG, while City are facing 115 charges relating to their accounts, perhaps opening up the possibility that both superstars can be lured to the Spanish capital.
