With some of the world's biggest clubs lining up to sign Arsenal superstar and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the African striker has now been linked with a massive swap deal.
According to Spanish news outlet Diario Madridista, the Gunners would be willing to sell the 30-year-old forward to Real Madrid, but want something in the deal for them.
It is claimed that midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is currently on loan at Arsenal from Los Blancos, could be used in the offer to decrease the transfer fee.
The Spanish giants have been linked with Aubameyang on a number of occasions over the years, but talk died down in 2018 when the forward put pen to paper on a deal with the London club.
Prior to leaving Borussia Dortmund for the Gunners, Aubameyang had stated many times that it was a dream of his to play for the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners, but in recent weeks, it has seemed more likely that he would join their rivals FC Barcelona.
Reports have suggested that Barca have been chasing his signature, while it is also believed Manchester United are interested in luring him away from Arsenal.
Aubameyang will be entering the last year of his contract after this season, and the Gunners are reportedly preparing to sell him before the expiration of his deal in 2021.
It is said that Arsenal would allow the forward to leave for a fee of £50 million (R1 billion), although Real could potentially spend far less by including Ceballos in their offer.
