Jose Mourinho: Zinedine Zidane Is Happy Gareth Bale Left

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Morinho claims Zinedine Zidane is happy Gareth Bale left Real Madrid.

Bale was seemingly frozen out by Zidane in the latter parts of the 2019/2020 season, which resulted in his loan move.

The Welshman secured a season-long loan to the North London side the past weekend along with Sergio Reguilon who joins the club on a permanent deal.

While Zidane claimed there was no issue with Bale, Mourinho says the Los Blancos manager was delighted to see the player leave.

"I didn't speak with Zinedine, but I believe that Zinedine is happy that he (Bale) left," Mourinho told Sky Sports.

"We are happy that he is here. Gareth, of course, is happy to be here. So hopefully at the end of the season we are all happy and he can stay with us."
