How Real Madrid Could Line-Up For LaLiga Restart

How Real Madrid Could Line-Up For LaLiga Restart

LW: Eden Hazard

Real Madrid only won two of their last seven games before the LaLiga break, but Zinedine Zidane will now have two long-term absentees available for his starting XI.

Click through the gallery to see Zidane's potential line-up for the weekend.

Zidane is known for being a loyal servant to his trusted line-up, having started the same XI in consecutive UEFA Champions League finals in 2016/17 and 2017/18.

However, after things did not go too well recently, with Los Blancos dropping from the top of LaLiga into second spot, he might need to mix things up a bit against Eibar on Sunday.

He has received some injury boosts after Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio, who were both injured ahead of the break, returned to full fitness recently.

Hazard has only played two LaLiga games since November, while Asensio has been sidelined all season after picking up an ACL rupture in pre-season.

Both should make Real a lot more unpredictable in attack and take pressure of Karim Benzema, who is often Los Blancos' main threat for goals.

The rest of Zidane's starting XI will be quite similar to recent games, with only Nacho and Luka Jovic being sidelined with injury.

Federico Valverde could start ahead of Luka Modric in midfield, while Marcelo and Ferland Mendy will battle it out for the left-back spot.

Real have a good record against Eibar, having won five of the last six games against their Sunday opponents.
