Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium last season, the Norwegian has already managed to blow the lofty expectations placed upon him away following his 52-goal debut campaign with Manchester City.
Consequently, the Mancunians have fallen in love with the 23-year-old and are rumoured to already be looking to tie him down to another long-term deal.
The Leeds-born attacker is contracted to the Citizens for the next four years, but it is said they want to offer him a new deal because it is believed that, inserted into his current contract is a release clause that kicks in for teams outside of England as of June 2024.
That release fee is said to range between €180 and €200 million (R3.5 and R3.9 billion), and Los Blancos have been heavily linked with the Scandinavian since the news emerged.
On Wednesday night, the attacker's agent, Rafaela Pimenta, was spotted at the home of the record European champions as the Spanish giants dismantled Braga 3-0 in their latest UEFA Champions League outing.
When asked if she was in attendance in order to lay the groundwork for a potential move to Madrid for Haaland, she said: "I've been here more times. Talk about Haaland with Florentino [Perez]? No, no, no, no," the Brazilian super-agent answered, as per El Chiringuito.
