Record Real Madrid signing Eden Hazard has made a huge admission about his first season in Spain.
The 29-year-old joined Los Blancos for a mammoth fee of €115 million (R2.2 billion) from Chelsea in July last year, but has had a rather forgetful campaign since.
Injuries have disrupted the Belgian's debut season in LaLiga, with Hazard playing just 16 league matches and contributing to just seven goals in those fixtures.
In a recent interview, the winger admitted that the 2019/20 campaign is the worst of his professional football career so far, but praised manager Zinedine Zidane for picking up yet another piece of silverware.
"We all know Zidane as a player, he was the best, but as a coach we don't even need to describe him anymore.
"He has shown, in just a few years, that he is already one of the best coaches, he is a person who simply knows how to say things at the right time, he trusts his players and his players trust him, that's why it works."
Overall, Hazard has scored just one goal and assisted a further seven strikes in 21 games across all competitions for Los Blancos.
