The Frenchman, whose famous goal against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 UEFA Champions League final is often considered as the greatest strike in the competition's history, was stunned by his player's overhead kick against Juventus.

Zidane was seen rubbing his head in disbelief after Ronaldo's incredible goal, and the Los Blancos boss later explained his priceless reaction

"I'm a Real Madrid manager, but also a football fan, and when I see a goal like the Cristiano's, you get random gestures. We are happy to have him on our team," he said after the game, as quoted by RealTOTAL.

"I reacted like an amateur to Cristiano's goal because it was super. We're happy he is at Real Madrid because he does things like this."

The Frenchman was also asked about comparisons between Ronaldo's bicycle kick and his own strike against Leverkusen in 2002.

"Cristiano's overhead kick could be one of the most beautiful goals in Champions League history but, of course, mine in Glasgow against Bayer Leverkusen is more beautiful," he said.

"Not all stadiums applaud the opposition's player, but tonight, they did for Cristiano."
