The Portuguese was selected to speak to the media along with Los Blancos coach Zinedine Zidane, but got upset when a journalist asked him about his goalscoring record away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
"Who else has scored more goals away from home than me since I arrived in Spain?" Ronaldo responded, as quoted by Marca.
"Name one player who has scored more than me. No answer? OK. Thank you."
Ronaldo, who scored his last away goal on 29 November, then got up and left the room.
But the Portuguese attacker is correctt: according to Marca, he has scored 106 away goals in the league – three more than Lionel Messi – and has also netted 153 away goals, compared to Messi's 137, in all competitions since moving to Spain.
Before walking out of the press conference, the 31-year-old explained why media criticism doesn't bother him.
"When you spoil people, it's the same as when you spoil your children. When you don't do what they want, they cry," he said.
"Let's hope things continue as they are until the end of season. I'd be more than happy with that.
"The media have a lot to say. That's the problem, but I don't lose any sleep over it. Let them talk."
