The Brazilian, however, has reservations about joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, perhaps because of his connection with his previous club Liverpool.
Coutinho could also be used to lure Neymar from France, although this news throws Griezmann's future up in the air. The Frenchman was heavily tipped to join Barca, but with Neymar wanting a move back to Ernesto Valverde's side, the club might ditch its efforts to secure the France international's signature.
President Josep Maria Bartomeu did recently insist that no contact had been established between Griezmann and his club, remarks that could be interpreted as Barca holding the door open for their former star Neymar.

In Kalidou Koulibaly's case, Manchester City are now also believed to be after the Senegalese centre-back, while Benfica and Portugal starlet Joao Felix is said to be nearing a move to Atletico Madrid, seemingly as Griezmann's replacement.
