FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi reportedly has an incredible clause in his contract that could see him leave the Catalan giants for free.

According to Spanish publication El Mundo, there is a clause in the superstar's contract that would see Messi leave the club on a free if Catalonia voted for independence.
Messi also big buyout clause, which currently stands at €700million but the player's father, Jorge Messi, insists these rumours about the independence clause are not true.
"All that has been said is not true," Jorge Messi told the Red.
"There is an agreement that Lionel will remain at the club as long as they are playing in a top league.
"If Catalonia gets independence then Lionel would remain as long as they were in a competitive league."
