The World Cup winner spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo's two-match ban before defending his teammate's actions on the pitch against Cordoba last weekend.
"What's done is done. Cristiano Ronaldo is going to serve a two-match ban," he told Marca. "He's expressed his regret and is focussed on the next game when we'll have him back.
"It's not easy being Ronaldo, to always be in front of the cameras, under all that pressure... he's forever in everyone's sights. Cristiano has all our support."
Casillas concluded the interview by discussing his future at Real Madrid.
"I have a contract with Real Madrid. I definitely won't be going anywhere in the next three months," he added.
"We'll see what happens in the future, but I'm not immortal and my body isn't perfect. We need to be realistic and understand that I'm not going to keep going forever.
"I'm happy with Real Madrid and we'll see what the future holds."
Iker Casillas has made 704 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions, since making his first team debut in 1999.
