Reports claim that Paris Saint-Germain have made the shock decision to place Neymar on the transfer list this January.
Report: Al Nassr Struggling To Register Ronaldo
According to Fichajes, the Ligue 1 champions are prepared to part ways with football's most expensive player ever in this transfer window should a suitable offer arrive.
With the Brazilian having been plagued by a few injuries in his six years to date in the French capital, the PSG hierarchy reportedly believe that the 30-year-old attacker is becoming a burden on their wage bill.
Les Parisiens are said to have tried to sell the superstar in the previous window, putting a €150 million (R2.7 billion) price tag on the skilful attacker in hopes of luring a potential suitor.
However, Neymar did not leave the Parc des Princes and stayed on in the French capital, starting the 2022/23 season in fantastic form, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists in the 21 appearances he has made so far for PSG.
Despite his fine form, though, the club's top brass seems eager to rid themselves of the salary they pay Brazil's joint top goalscorer of all time, so much so that they are willing to listen to offers ranging between €50 and €60 million (R903 million and R1 billion) for his signature.
Barca President: Why I Forced Messi To Leave
Neymar watched his strike partners Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe contest the 2022 FIFA World Cup final after the Selecao outfit were dumped out of the competition in the quarter-finals, and given that PSG are reportedly on course to extend Messi's contract, perhaps the French side feel they will be more than adequately equipped with the World Cup finalists should the former Santos wonderkid leave the club.
