New FC Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, says the club's superstars, Lionel Messi and Neymar, are normal people and 'go to the loo like everyone else'.
The 22-year-old moved to Camp Nou for €12 million this summer and revealed that Messi's and Neymar's personalities are great.
"They're normal people. As far as I know they need to eat, drink and go to the loo like everyone else. They're likeable and close to everyone," he told Marca.
"I'm not speaking about their sporting level, which is incredibly high. What matters to me is their personalities, because an idiot is an idiot regardless of the trophies that he wins.
"Luckily, there are only good lads in our dressing room."
Ter Stegen had a difficult start at Barcelona after picking up a shoulder injury in pre-season, which resulted in Luis Enrique favouring Claudio Bravo over the German.
"We both want to make it difficult for Luis Enrique," he added.
"Starting two games in the Champions League was a great experience, although I'm realistic and analyse my performances.
"I'm improving every day because I'm training with the best players in the world."
Bravo has started all la Liga games and is yet to concede a goal, while ter Stegen started in both of Barcelona's Champions League games and didn't look great in the Catalan's 3-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
