Luis Suarez Opens Up About Move To Barca

Uruguayan international Luis Suarez has admitted that he is receiving psychological help as part of his contract at Barcelona.

In an interview published in Uruguay newspaper El Observador, Suarez has come clean about a lot of issues troubling since his arrival at Barcelona from his state of mind, his continuous battle with his weight, the brilliance of Lionel Messi and the fact that he has not scored for the club yet.

Suarez admits he is receiving psychological help from the club, but at no time has he been over weight despite what his critics may think.

"It is psychological help (I was receiving). Barça were always at my disposal, but always respecting my choices," explained Suarez.

"At no time was I overweight. It was like the coach (Luis Enrique) said at one point: 'Tell me when they saw a thin Luis Suárez'. He also said that, if they wanted, I had had liposuction, and that caused a lot of amusement.

"The doctor that did the tests and studies at the club told me that I was one of the six Barcelona players that had the lowest body-fat percentage and weight.

"What was said was something that caught my attention. But I laughed a lot and it caused me a lot of amusement. Especially when my Uruguay team-mates told me: 'Fatty, do not eat any more.' It did not affect me at any moment. It's something that's part of the newspaper game."

Suarez adds that he is working well with the superstars of Barcelona.

"I knew that I was going to a club where the icons are Leo (Lionel Messi), Ney (Neymar) or (Andrés) Iniesta," added the Uruguayan.

"I knew the role that I was going to fulfil and I had no problem meeting it. Some say that Messi makes the play, I distance myself and he doesn't give me it. But I speak with him or with Ney to tell them that I will take a marker with me and they can exploit the space."

Suarez concluded by saying he is not worried that he is yet to find the back of the net as long as the team continues to keep winning.

"It's expected that this generates press, because I am not worried. If I don't score and we win I remain happy. I am looking forward to celebrating a goal with the shirt of the team that I always dreamed of," he concluded.
