Ronaldo went ahead to celebrate his 30th birthday, and pictures of him and a couple of teammates singing and dancing just hours after the clash against Atletico Madrid leaked to Social Media.
Figo, however, has leapt to the defence of his countryman and hit back at Ronaldo critics via Twitter.
"Anyone who doubts Cristiano Ronaldo's passion for professionalism and that of Real Madrid's is completely without knowledge of their history and character," he tweeted on Monday.
The 42-year-old spent five years at the Bernabeu, winning six titles - including two La Liga titles and one Champions League - and is one of the candidates challenging Sepp Blatter for the FIFA presidency.
Figo followed Ronaldo's agent, who also defended his client, and insisted that party guests tried to cheer up Ronaldo following the embarrassing defeat.

However, James Rodriguez and Sami Khedira could reportedly be fined by Los Blancos for attending the party, despite their recent injuries.
