This makes it 30 official matches were Messi has scored three or more goals for the Catalan club. It's his 22nd hat-trick in La Liga as well, putting him one hat-trick shy of Cristiano Ronaldo's record of 23 trebles. He is now level with Telmo Zarra and Alfredo di Stefano.
In addition to this, Messi has scored two hat-tricks in Argentina colours, making his career total 32.
