Welsh winger Gareth Bale reportedly wants Ballon d'Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo's position at Real Madrid next season.
According to Spanish media, Bale met with Los Blancos bosses to discuss his future at the club and also requested that he is moved from the right wing by new manager Rafa Benitez.
Bale told the board that he does not like playing out on the right wing and feels that his game suffers when he does - even though he has played there since joining Real.
It's said that that Bale would like to play on the left wing, where club superstar Cristiano Ronaldo plays, but this may not go down well with the Portuguese.
There has been a lot of talk that Ronaldo should be used as a centre-forward next season, but the Portuguese does not see himself as one.
Ronaldo likes to play out wide and specifically on the left because he enjoys the space and cutting in when needed.
Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett has stressed to Florentino Perez that he sees his client winning the Ballon d'Or in the future, but he needs to enjoy his football again.
Perez has admitted that he sees Bale playing a huge role in Real Madrid's future and that the club has no intention of letting him go.
Reports: Ronaldo Wants Real Exit
Manchester United have made it clear that they would love to have the Welshman at Old Trafford and it will be interesting to see whether Bale gets his way at Madrid or forces a move in the near future.
