FC Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, has once again silenced his critics and here are five reasons behind his latest resurgence in form.

Just two weeks ago, Messi had allegedly fallen out with Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique, and reports emerged the 27-year-old could leave Camp Nou.
However, Messi has given his response on the pitch and put in two Man of the Match performances, scoring four goals and collecting one assist, in the two appearances since the suggested bust up.
Marca has collected the following five factors, which contributed to Messi's resurgence in form:
1) He doesn't want to accused of underperforming under Enrique
Messi reportedly doesn't enjoy the best of relationships with Enrique. However, the four-time Ballon d'Or winner does not want to push the coach through the exit door.
2) Ronaldo's third Ballon d'Or motivated him
Cristiano Ronaldo has almost caught up with Lionel Messi when it comes to the coveted award. However, the Argentine doesn't like to lose and he will give his all to return to the top of world football.
3) The Barcelona board protects him
Earlier in the season Messi hinted a Barcelona exit and his unhappiness about the clubs current leadership troubles. However, following the claims of Messi's clash with Enrique and subsequent exit rumours, Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, has reacted accordingly and proclaimed his trust in his superstar.
4) Messi gets used his right-wing role
Messi has gone back to his roots by featuring on the right wing. While Luis Suarez takes up the main striker role and deflects attention from Messi, the Argentine is enjoying his sharp runs from the wing cutting inside to unsettle opposition defenses.
5) Neymar and Suarez work hard for him
Both, Neymar and mainly Suarez, work very hard for the Argentine. The Uruguayan has returned to full fitness and his determined runs and desire open a lot of spaces for Messi. While Neymar doesn't work as hard as Suarez, he is – similar to the Uruguayan – happy to set up Messi goals.
