The Barcelona and Argentina legend, who has won the award on eight occasions, voted for Lamine Yamal as his No.1.
Lamine, 17, has enjoyed a remarkable rise over the past year after helping Spain win the 2024 UEFA European Championship in Germany earlier this year.

The winger has already established himself as one of the best attackers in world football, earning early comparisons to Messi.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup champion picked Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe in second and Vinicius Junior in third.
It was the Brazilian, meanwhile, who won the men's award, while Barcelona women's superstar Aitana Bonmatí picked up the women's trophy.
Lamine Yamal finished fifth in the voting for the main award, while Lionel Messi was in sixth place.

However, the teenager was named in The Best Men's XI and is the only Barcelona player to make the cut.
