A source close to superstar Neymar has claimed that the player's tension with Edinson Cavani earlier in the season was causing him stress at Paris Saint-Germain.
Ronaldo Beats Messi To Ballon d'Or Again
The former FC Barcelona man and the Uruguayan got off to a bumpy start as strike partners in France as they were seen arguing several times over who was going to be taking certain set-pieces.
Former PSG star Nene, who is also a good friend of Neymar's, has now suggested that the 25-year-old's disagreements with Cavani were getting to him.
"Yes, perhaps he was a little stressed because of that (argument with Cavani)," he said, according to The Sun.
Nene also admitted that he told Neymar that PSG would be a great club to achieve new goals at.
"I gave him my opinion (before the move). I explained to him about the city, the club and the infrastructure," he added.
"I told him that he would have nothing to regret in leaving Barcelona. With Barca, he had won everything, so I said: 'Imagine you go to Paris for a new challenge, with the same structures that you have in Barcelona and maybe better.'"
