Chelsea News: Christian Pulisic Matches Incredible 10-Year Lionel Messi Record

A remarkable UEFA Champions League record that Lionel Messi set 10 years ago was matched on Tuesday night.

Chelsea beat Porto to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League, winning their quarter-final tie 2-1 on aggregate.

During the second leg at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, Christian Pulisic dazzled with his smart dribbling skills, drawing 11 fouls in the 90 minutes.

The last time a player was fouled that many times during a single Champions League fixture was Lionel Messi in 2011, in a semi-final win over Real Madrid, according to the Daily Mirror. 

Pulisic initially appeared to be out of favour following Thomas Tuchel's appointment as Chelsea boss, but has returned to form for the Blues, scoring three times in his past two Premier League matches.
