With rumours hinting at a possible exit for star striker Cristiano Ronaldo, new Manchester United arrival Casemiro has made a plea to the wantaway striker.
All transfer window, reports have claimed that Ronaldo wants to leave Old Trafford in an effort to compete for the most illustrious titles in the twilight years of his career.
His agent, Jorge Mendes, has been openly shopping his client around to the biggest clubs on the European continent, but there have been no takers.
Now, in a move that is said to have pleased their highest earner, the Red Devils have shelled out €60 million (R1 billion), plus a potential €10 million (R168 million) in add-ons, for Brazilian holding midfielder Casemiro.
The pair will be reunited at the Theatre of Dreams having played alongside one another on 109 occasions for Real Madrid, and with all the rumours regarding the possible exit of his Portuguese teammate, Casemiro is hopeful the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will stay put in Manchester.
"I haven't talked to Cristiano, I hope he stays because he's one of the best players of all time. He's incredible," the five-time UEFA Champions League winner said during his Real Madrid farewell press conference, as per The Sun.
"I want to bring my values to Man United, everything that Real Madrid taught me, to win from day to day, from every training session.
"I want to experience the Premier League from within. I enjoy everything I have."
The Brazil international calls time on his career at the Santiago Bernabeu having won 18 titles with Los Blancos, and will hope to emulate his success in Spain in the English game.
