After he was involved in a bitter spat with Neymar this week, Alvaro Gonzalez has broken his silence and spoken about the "less intelligent" Paris Saint-Germain star.
The Olympique Marseille defender already had a run-in with Neymar when both teams met in September and Neymar accused of racism.
However, Gonzalez was cleared of any wrongdoing back then, but Neymar had seemingly not forgotten about the incident.
After Wednesday's Trophee des Champions triumph, the Brazilian took to Twitter to taunt Gonzalez, who responded to his provocative tweets.
The 31-year-old has now opened up about the spat, revealing Neymar provoked him throughout the game and even during trophy handover.
"As you've seen, the provocations continued," he told El Chiringuito.
"After the game, during the trophy presentation.
"I kept my composure, then there was a tweet, and another tweet.
"I answered because it's very easy to overcome someone so much less intelligent than you in so many parts of life."
PSG, meanwhile, won the Trophee des Champions for an eighth successive season, with Neymar lifting it thrice.
It was the first title in senior management for new coach Mauricio Pochettino, just 11 days after he took charge of the French giants.
