The Chilean completed a loan move to the Serie A giants on Thursday, with the Daily Mail claiming Inter have agreed to pay close to £4.5 million (R83 million) of his £21 million (R390 million) annual salary.

The £21 million was Sanchez's basic salary at United, calculating to weekly wages of £400 000 (R7.4 million). However, performance-based bonuses could have seen him earn as much as £560 000 (R10.4 million) a week, according to the Daily Mail.

Hear what EPL legend Lucas Radebe said about his time in the EPL.

It has been claimed that United will still pay a whopping £300 000 (R5.6 million) towards the Chilean's weekly wages, making him the second-highest paid star at Old Trafford despite not playing for the club this season.

Only David de Gea, who reportedly put pen to paper on a bumper new deal that is yet to officially be announced recently, will earn more than Sanchez does at United this season.

The Chile talisman could make his Inter debut on Sunday, when his new side travel to Cagliari.
