Man Utd Transfer News: 7 Out?

Seven players are reportedly expected to be sold by Manchester United at the end of the season.

These seven players could reportedly be sold by incoming Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe at the end of the season.

With the INEOS chairman's tenure in Manchester scheduled to officially begin next month after his purchase of a 25% stake in the club was finalised earlier this month, significant changes are expected at the Red Devils.

Important appointments have already been made to the team that oversees football matters at Old Trafford, but is thought that Erik ten Hag's first-team group will look noticeably different ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Mason Greenwood, 22, is currently on loan at Getafe in LALIGA, and it is believed Ratcliffe will not be looking to bring him back to United permanently, and will instead look to sell him at the end of the season.

The one-time England international has enjoyed a bright six months in Spain, but it is anticipated he will join a club with a bigger profile later this year. Barcelona and Real Madrid have been linked with his signature.

Scott McTominay is reported to have been deemed sellable by Ratcliffe and his team, along with Brazilian duo Casemiro and Antony, according to the Mirror.

The pair have battled in their second season under Ten Hag, with the latter having failed to score a single goal this term, after netting eight times in 2022/23.

Alvaro Fernandez, who is on loan at Benfica, could potentially remain at the Portuguese giants after the clubs agreed to an option-to-buy clause, while Hannibal Mejbri is in the same situation following his loan switch to Sevilla.

The Spanish club will have the freedom to decide whether or not they want to keep the Tunisia international, whose lack of game time in England before leaving in January saw him snubbed for his nation's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations squad.

Lastly, a decision on Jadon Sancho's future will only be made at the end of the campaign, although it is believed that Ratcliffe is in favour of selling the winger, who is seeing out the rest of the season at Borussia Dortmund.
