Kane 'Still Dreams' Of Move To EPL Giants

Kane 'Still Dreams' Of Move To EPL Giants

Harry Kane is reportedly still eager to leave Tottenham Hotspur for one of their rivals in this transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, the 29-year-old hopes Manchester United will reignite their interest in him.

Erik ten Hag had earlier identified the English marksman as his preferred striker target for the off-season, but with Spurs placing a £100 million (R2.3 billion) price tag on a forward who is approaching the final year of his deal and on the verge of turning 30, the record Premier League champions have reportedly walked away from the potential deal for now.

United are believed to have since shifted their focus to more attainable attackers such as Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund.

The same report claims that a price closer to £80 million (R1.6 billion) may be enough to tempt the Red Devils back to the negotiating table, but that will depend on whether or not Spurs chairman Daniel Levy softens his stance on letting his talisman go.

The English executive is said to not be keen to strengthen their immediate rivals, and would rather sell Kane to the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, clubs who are also rumoured to be interested in the attacker.

It is believed the London native's preference, however, is to join the Mancunians, and it seems that if he is to make his way to Old Trafford, he may have to wait another year when he can sign for free as Levy appears adamant on sticking to his stance.

The 20-time English league champions are also said to not be willing to be embroiled in a transfer saga that lingers all window and have thus, for the time being at least, retracted their interest in England's all-time top goalscorer.
