David Moyes Names Three Signings He Failed To Sign At Man Utd

David Moyes has revealed the three big signings Manchester United failed to secure when he took over from the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.

Click through the gallery to see the three players Moyes missed out on and the two players he signed.

Moyes took over from Ferguson in 2013 and signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford, although things did not go as planned for the former Everton tactician.

After a loss to Everton at Goodison, which ended United's top four hopes, Moyes was relieved of his duties just seven months into his five-year contract.

However, things might have panned out differently if he had secured three big signings, one of which was Germany international Toni Kroos.

"Toni Kroos would certainly be the one," Moyes told BeINSports .

"At that time we were very much after Gareth Bale and Cesc Fabregas.

"But I've got to say prior to that, at Everton, we were really close to a lot of good players. We just couldn't quite get them over the line on several occasions."

Moyes only managed to sign Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata during his time Old Trafford, although only the latter is still with the club.
