Despite Paris Saint-Germain boasting a front three of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, manager Zinedine Zidane reportedly rejected an approach from the club last month, with his reasons for doing so having seemingly been revealed.
According to French publications Le Parisien and Foot Mercato, the French giants asked a few high-profile bosses to replace Mauricio Pochettino in January.
The Argentine, however, looks set to see out the remainder of the season after none of those talks resulted in anything concrete, although it is suggested he will be relieved of his duties at the conclusion of this campaign.

Of those on their managerial shortlist, Zidane was reportedly PSG's prime candidate but is said to have turned down the opportunity for more than one reason.
According to French outlet TF1, the ex-Real Madrid manager did not want to be in charge of the side for their round of 16 tie against Los Blancos in the UEFA Champions League this month, and also feels the current squad does not suit his style.
Furthermore, he has also taken issue with the way the club is being run by those in the boardroom, with sporting director Leonardo having often been a point of controversy since his appointment.
Following a glittering career as a footballer, Zidane's venture into senior team management in 2016 proved seamless as he claimed nine trophies in his first spell of just over two just two years in charge of Real, and another two in his second stint in the Spanish giants' dugout.
