Paris Saint-Germain striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, revealed he doesn't have much hope to win this year's Ballon d'Or despite playing the best season of his career.
Ibrahimovic scored 41 goals and assisted a further 18 in 46 games for Paris Saint-Germain, which was his best ever career output for a single campaign.
"I just had best season of my career, but it will be difficult to win because I was not at World Cup," he told to PSG TV.
Ibrahimovic led PSG to a second consecutive Ligue 1 title as well as the French Cup and French Super Cup.
Despite scoring two goals in the World Cup playoffs against Portugal, the 33-year-old couldn't prevent a 4-2 aggregate loss and had to watch the World Cup from home.
Ibrahimovic has been included on the 23-men Ballon d'Or shortlist, but has never won the prestigious individual award.
