Thiago Silva has criticised his former club Paris Saint-Germain for the way they handled his and Edinson Cavani's exits last season.
Both players left the French capital at the end of the 2019/20 campaign after their contracts had expired, although the Uruguayan had left before the UEFA Champions League final in which Les Parisiens were defeated by Bayern Munich.
With Silva and Cavani both playing key roles in PSG's success over the past decade, the Brazilian has now claimed the club did not even plan a farewell for them.
"There's something worse than that, though. Even in the middle of a pandemic, they had three months to plan a farewell, but nothing was done.
"Man, I wasn't there for only one season, or a few months – it was an eight-year spell as a captain who lifted a number of trophies at the club.
"I deserved much more respect than that. The same thing happened to Cavani."
