A former Paris Saint-Germain player has claimed that Sergio Ramos has failed at the French giants, and that his season is as good as over.
The Spanish centre-back joined the Ligue 1 leaders in the transfer window at the start of the season after leaving Real Madrid as a free agent following the expiration of his contract last year.
Ramos was one of several high-profile players brought in by the French club, but has struggled for game time as he has battled fitness and injury issues that continued from his final campaign as captain of Los Blancos.
Since his arrival in Paris, the 35-year-old has made just five appearances across all competitions, with his current calf problems leaving him seemingly unavailable for selection for the foreseeable future.
This has led ex-PSG player Alain Roche, who represented the club between 1992 and 1998, to believe that Ramos' debut season in Paris could already be over.
"He [Ramos] hasn't played any important games, not even one in the Champions League," he told Canal+.
"It is sad. We were happy to have him with us, but it's a failed bet.
"Now we have to believe in miracles. For me, his season is over."
Ramos joined PSG after winning 22 trophies with Los Blancos, including four UEFA Champions League titles.
