Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has sent a stern warning to Kylian Mbappe, who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid.
The Frenchman is in the final year of his contract with the Ligue 1 giants but he has not agreed on an extension as he continues to be linked with a departure.
Al-Khelaifi claims that Mbappe wanted a competitive team and they have certainly delivered with their five new signings, including six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.
"I think we have the most competitive team. Now there is no choice for Kylian but to stay here in Paris," said the club president.
"I think everybody knows the future of Kylian, people from Paris and the players.
"He is a really competitive player. He wants to win, he wants to win trophies, he said it in public.
"He wanted a competitive team and I think we have got the most competitive in the world. So there is no excuse for him now. He can't do anything else but stay."
