With Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona's relationship already strained from Neymar's 2017 move, matters could become worse with the French club reportedly about to hijack the transfer of Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Catalan club has announced three signings since the end of the past season, with Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Emerson Royal all being brought to the Camp Nou by new president Joan Laporta.
It had been claimed many times over the past few weeks that departing Liverpool midfielder Wijnaldum was also scheduled to join the Blaugrana, along with his Dutch colleague Memphis Depay, who has decided to leave Olympique Lyon.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, however, has since reported that the 30-year-old Netherlands international is now set to join PSG after the French giants offered him a bigger contract.
