Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain have reached a verbal agreement to bring one of Barcelona's star players to the Parc des Prince on deadline day.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Ousmane Dembele looks set to be PSG's newest acquisition. The Parisians have emerged as frontrunners for the Frenchman's signature among a number of Premier League suitors.
Having moved to Barcelona for €105 million (R1.8 billion) from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, Dembele was considered one of the world's best young players, but injuries have hampered his ascent to football superstardom as he has registered only 31 goals and 23 assists in 129 appearances for the Blaugrana.
Following a deadlock in negotiations earlier this month, manager Xavi Hernandez urged the winger to either sign an extension at the Camp Nou or leave the club before the transfer deadline.
The Spanish giants then announced that Dembele has no future at the club due to his unwillingness to extend his contract, with the ex-Bundesliga star responding with a long statement of his own in which he suggested he was being blackmailed.
PSG are looking to fit the bill, with sporting director Leonardo reportedly being a massive admirer of Dembele since his days at Stade Rennais in Ligue 1.
