Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo has finally broken his silence on the club rejecting Real Madrid's mega bid for Kylian Mbappe.
Los Blancos seemingly had a change of heart in the final few days of the recent transfer window after initially deciding against making a move for the French forward.
However, after the Madrid club made a €160 million (R2.8 billion) bid for Mbappe, it was swiftly rejected, and Leonardo has since confirmed there was no second offer from Real.
"To start negotiations for one of the best players in the world in the last week of the transfer window generated a situation that we didn't like.
"We made our position clear on the offer. It was not sufficient, it was less than we paid.
"The last offer that they spoke of never arrived.
"You cannot organise a transfer window during two, three or four months and change your plans like this."
