Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has explained why he turned down a move to Real Madrid in favour of the French giants.

After his impressive performances for AS Monaco last season, the 19-year-old attracted interest from Europe's elite, most notably FC Barcelona and Los Blancos.
However, the France international decided to join PSG on an initial loan deal, with an obligation to make the move permanent next season.
"(I turned down Real Madrid) because PSG is the team of my city," Mbappe told Marca. "(Joining Real) would have been like a Real Madrid-supporting kid from Madrid having the chance to play for his team and deciding to go somewhere else, to another country.
