Ligue 1 Result: PSG 5-1 Angers Date: 23 January 2016 Venue: Parc des Princes An in-form Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Angers 5-1 in their Ligue 1 clash on Saturday evening. The Parisians took the lead in the 32nd minute when Zlatan Ibrahimovic powered home a strike, taking a deflection off of Thomas before beating Letellier. PSG were two goals clear just before the break. Angel Di Maria did great work to set up the goal for Lucas. The former Real Madrid man found Gregory Van der Wiel and he played it on for Lucas to finish. The goals kept coming in the 54th minute when Van der Wiel found the target. Deft interplay between Ibrahimovic, Di Maria and Matuidi set it up for the Dutchman to stab home at the far post. Angers pulled a goal back in the 59th minute. A corner kick was only half cleared and the loose ball fell for Pierrick Capelle who took a first-time volley to beat the goalkeeper at the far post. However, PSG restored their three-goal cushion three minutes later. Lucas angled a pass towards Di Maria who guided home a superb volley from the edge of the area to make it 4-1. The result was put beyond all doubt in the 66th minute as Di Maria scored his second. The Argentine sped into the box before cleverly lifting the ball over the goalkeeper to find the back of the net.
