Mauricio Pochettino claimed his first win as Paris Saint-Germain manager after his side defeated Brest 3-0 in Ligue 1 action on Saturday night.
Pochettino made just one change from Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Saint-Etienne, as Diallo replaced Thilo Kehrer.
The visitors went close to taking an early lead through Faivre after just six minutes, but the Brest striker's effort forced Keylor Navas into a superb save.
The opening goal did arrive on 18 minutes when Moise Kean poked home from close range after Marquinhos' initial header hit the woodwork.
Idrissa Gueye went agonisingly close to putting the home side two goals up 10 minutes later but his was kept off the line by Gautier Larsonneur.
The Brest shot-stopper was called upon once again after the hour mark after producing a superb save to keep out Kylian Mbappe's close-range strike.
It took while, but the second goal eventually arrived for the defending champions on 81 minutes as Mbappe turned provider to set up Mauro Icardi.
Pablo Sarabia added a third goal for the home side two minutes later after latching onto Icardi's neat flick before calmly slotting home.
