Venue: Stade Raymond-Kopa
Paris Saint-Germain moved two points clear at the top of Ligue 1 table after edging Angers 1-0 on Saturday evening.
PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino was not on the bench after he tested positive for Covid-19, with assistant coach Jesus Perez in charge, as Neymar got his first start since returning from injury alongside a recall for Moise Kean.
The Parisians had a slow start, with Angers taking the game to them in the early stages but the visitors could not create clear openings.
The hosts started to get into the game midway through the first stanza, with the combination of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, who was playing on the shoulder of the last defender, causing trouble for Angers.
Stephane Moulin's charges still had their attacking energy in the closing phase of the first stanza, creating chances but they lacked the cutting edge in the final third and the first stanza ended without goals.
The game opened up in the early exchanges of the first stanza, with Lois Diony and Mbappe coming close for their respective sides.
Layvin Kurzawa finally broke the deadlock for PSG in the last 20 minutes with a powerful first-time drive past Bernardoni after a rebound fell on his pathon the far side of the box.
The hosts were managing the game well by denying Angers possession, especially after Angel Di Maria and Mbappe were substituted in the last ten minutes, with Ander Herrera and Pablo Sarabia taking their places.
In the end, PSG held on to clinch a 1-0 win that took them two points clear at the top of the log, having played a match extra.
